Interview: Pete and Marika, from ILLNATH

It's an honor bring for our readers an interview with Illnath! The band was formed on year 2000 in Denmark and released their debut in 2003, "Cast Into The Fields Of Evil Pleasure". Through the years, the band had a lot of line-up changes, being the most significant when singer Narrenschiff was substituted by a woman named Mona Beck. In 2011, they release the first record with Mona on vocals, "Third Act In The Theatre Of Madness", bringing a more brutal sound to Illnath music. In march this year, the fourth record was released, "4 Shades Of Me", an album much more straight and agressive, definitely a mark in their carreer.
But right after the album came out, Mona decided to leave the band. On last sunday, May 26th, Illnath presented to the world their new singer: Marika Hyldmar. So far, the re-recorded version of "Crows" is the only sample of Marika's vocal potency in Illnath. It was enough for us to know that she is, by far, the most brutal and agressive singer this band ever had.
ALL THAT METAL had a chat with Peter 'Pete' Falk (guitar), the only remaining member since the formation of Illnath, that told us about this new fase in their carreer, the writing process of the new album and the possibility of a South American tour. Marika also talked with us about her reception in the band and the excitement of getting on stage with the band. Illnath also counts with Kenneth Frandsen (bass guitar) and Dennis Stockmarr (drums).

É uma honra trazer hoje aos nossos leitores uma entrevista com o Illnath! A banda foi formada em 2000 na Dinamarca e lançou seu debut em 2003, "Cast Into The Fields Of Evil Pleasure". Ao longo do tempo, o Illnath passou por várias mudanças de formação, sendo a principal delas quando o vocalista Narrenschiff foi substituído por uma mulher chamada Mona Beck. Em 2011, lançaram seu primeiro trabalho com Mona nos vocais, "Third Act In The Theatre Of Madness", trazendo uma sonoridade mais brutal para o Illnath. Em março desse ano, o quarto álbum da banda foi lançado, "4 Shades Of Me", um trabalho bem mais direto e agressivo, certamente um marco na carreira dos dinamarqueses.

Mas logo após o lançamento do álbum, Mona acabou saindo da banda. No último domingo, 26 de maio, o Illnath apresentou ao mundo sua mais nova vocalista: Marika Hyldmar. Apenas uma regravação de "Crows" com Marika nos vocais foi apresentado até agora pela banda, mas já deu para sentir que Marika é, de longe, a vocalista mais brutal e agressiva que já passou pelo Illnath.

O ALL THAT METAL bateu um papo com Peter 'Pete' Falk (guitarrista), único integrante remanescente desde a formação do Illnath, que nos contou um pouco sobre essa nova fase da carreira, a composição do novo álbum e a possibilidade de uma turnê sul-americana. Illnath: conheçam Marika Hyldmar, nova vocalista da banda

Os dinamarqueses do Illnath anunciaram ontem, dia 26 de maio, sua nova vocalista. Ela se chama Marika Hyldmar, tem apenas 21 anos e vem da banda Machiavellian. A vocalista foi escolhida através de várias audições após a saída de Mona Beck, que juntou-se a banda no ano de 2011. Para mostrar todo o potencial da nova vocalista, a banda regravou a canção "Ravenous Crows" (agora chamada apenas de "Crows"). Diga-se de passagem: certamente uma das vocalistas femininas com maior agressividade hoje em dia!

Em março desse ano, o Illnath lançou seu 4º álbum de estúdio, chamado "4 Shades Of Me". Foi o segundo registro com Mona nos vocais, que deixou a banda logo após o lançamento.
